The Dark side & Light side of Spring
The messiness of birth. Spring..the one true birth that comes every year and carries with it a dark side & a light side.
The snow melts ( where I live) and uncovers the soot of a city, cigarette butts and garbage strewn over barren lawns. Revealing the ugliness of something long hidden.
The rotting leaves & grasses feed the molds & fungi and wreck havoc on susceptible people.
The unsettled rise from a long hibernation grumpy and depressed..believing that Spring itself would solve all their ills. Not surprising it does not.
It brings with it dark skies, muted tones & a dampness that creeps into your bones & never leaves. Forever wet.
This is the Dark side.
The light side reveals itself just as strongly. Amongst all the chaos and uneasiness there comes the warmth of the sun on bare skin, the disrobing and peeling off of the layers of heavy clothes and the lingering of daylight.
The rain feeds and hydrates the earth..nourishing the seeds, plants, trees..us.
A stagnant heart can be lifted and a body intrigued by something new. Everything is stirring. The heaviness of Winter is lifted. Everything, everyone is waking up!
Creativity can be sparked ! Take advantage of the fresh energy coming through. Use this time to harness the creativity. Create goals. Think big. Make your mark for the coming year.
